Experience

Ms. Ballatore-Williamson specializes in the representation of insurance companies in complex insurance coverage matters, including insurance coverage litigation, counseling and opinions. Ms. Ballatore-Williamson also provides advice and representation to insureds, agents and brokers.

Ms. Ballatore-Williamson has rendered coverage advice under a variety of policies, including commercial liability, builders’ risk, errors and omissions liability, directors and officers’ liability, automobile liability, and various specialty lines policies. She has handled both first party and third party claims and has dealt with policies at all levels, from primary to high level excess. Ms. Ballatore-Williamson is frequently called upon by insurance companies to provide representation as coverage counsel at settlement conferences and mediations of pending claims, often with little or no notice.

Ms. Ballatore-Williamson also provides services related to investigation of claims, drafting policy forms and endorsements, compliance with new laws and regulations, and consultation.

Ms. Ballatore-Williamson handles insurance coverage and bad faith litigation in actions against both insureds and other insurance companies through trial and appeal. Geographically, Ms. Ballatore-Williamson’s litigation practice spans the entire State of California, including the urban centers of Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and Sacramento, in both state and federal courts as well as in various forms of alternate dispute resolution.

Ms. Ballatore-Williamson is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of California, all U.S. District Courts of California, and Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California.

Ms. Ballatore-Williamson is a member of the American Bar Association, Fresno County Bar Association, and Fresno County Women Lawyers Association.

Community Involvement

Ms. Ballatore-Williamson is a founding Board Member and Secretary for the Friend of the Fresno Childhood Language Disorders Center Guild (2006-present) and volunteers her time for Project First Step. She has been a volunteer for the McLane High School Character Education Program (2008) and a guest speaker in the school’s Government classes speaking on “The 4th Amendment and Brown v. Board of Education” (2006-2009). Ms. Ballatore-Williamson has served as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau’s “Auto Line” program (1998-2002) and volunteer judge for the Fresno County Bar Association High School Mock Trial competition (1998-2008).
